Dear Valued Supporter,

As you are aware the 2015 season is fast approaching and preparations are well and truly underway.

Our senior squads are back at training after their holiday break and with the inclusion of some experienced recruits look set for a big year. Junior training’s will commence shortly so watch this space for more details.

For the upcoming season we are looking to take the load off our existing volunteers specifically in the bar and canteen on match days, so this year we are looking to implement “Match Day Managers” for these roles.
Essentially we would still have a manager who would oversee the running of the canteen for the season (stock ordering, banking etc) but we are looking for people who would, for one
day a year, run the canteen.

Match day Duties would include….
Preparing Rolls, Sandwiches, lolly bags etc Stocking drinks fridge Opening canteen Cooking (chips, pies, dim sims etc) throughout the day
Ideally we would have couples or pairs rostered on for one of our nine home games from 7am – 4.30pm
Upon arrival on the day you would find a checklist of tasks for preparation, during opening hours and end of day cleaning.
A committee member would be on hand every match day morning to hand over floats, light cookers etc.
Servers will still be rostered on from the playing lists to work throughout the day so please don’t feel as if you would be left to do all the work on your own.
If you were to volunteer for this role, whether by yourself or in a group, this would become your canteen duty for the year and your family would be removed from the severs roster list.
In the bar we are looking for people who have, or are willing to get, RSA accreditation to serve from 12-6pm once a year, again a committee member will be present throughout the day to help with anything that may come up.
If we get enough people interested the club would be happy to organise for an RSA (responsible service of alcohol) course to be ran at the clubrooms before the start of the season and if your willing to volunteer some time we may even be able to help with the cost of the accreditation.
